Coronavirus response
The spread of COVID-19 and its impact on our community cannot be overstated. Above all, taking precautions for each other’s health and safety are critically important. Social distancing is the new normal as we try to limit the spread of this virus. Read more about ECCCM’s response here.
Already, as always, ECCCM is prepared to help our community.
- As dedicated workers in our community either lose working hours or are laid off from their jobs, affected persons can apply for emergency financial assistance.
- The ECCCM Charlie Bunn Food Pantry is well-situated for additional demands for hunger relief, with adequate supplies of commodities.
- As schools close, and children lose access to school breakfasts and lunches, the ECCCM Student Hunger Prevention Program provides adequate supplies of food for the entire household for one year. Families with children in either Newton-Conover City Schools or Catawba County Schools can apply here.
- Already, good people within our community have demonstrated concern for our neighbors by donating food and financial resources. We invite those who are able to support ECCCM’s consistent work in our community by donating here. or dropping off donations Monday – Thursday from 8:00 – 4:00.
In the end, as a community, we will survive the coronavirus and the spread of COVID-19. We will be stronger as we care for each other during this trying time.
